Light skin vs. dark/standard of beauty

My sophmore year in highschool I did a project about how I personally think black ppl are discriminated against the MOST in the world not only are we bashed by other races but we're bashed by our own....Just because one is darker than the other, or one girl has longer hair than the other, or his or her eyes arent brown.....I did a survey at school from different races seeing what they thought was pretty...italian, white, mexican, asian...and I was very dissapointed b/c everything centered back on a bitch that looked like BARBIE
My standard of beauty is different and i find alot of girls pretty most ppl wouldn't give the time of day too...it never has anything to do with personality its very hard for me to like the way I look because Seventeen magazine tells me i have to look like "Amy" to be pretty... They never advertise girls with all shapes and sizes in the spotlight...shes always stick thin...and most of the girls on the cover are all blonde and have blue eyes...whatever happened to brunettes? And back to the black community yall make dark girls feel like shit if we dont have an ass the size of america I hate feeling like i have to look like melyssa ford just to be fine... and when guys say its all about the light skin girls, they are dreaming on a girl with white features...I have come to the fact to accept that my thighs may never be small as i want em my waist perfect, my ass huge my skin 2 shades from white my hair to my ass and my eyes any other color than brown...and I find most black guys to like thick women so got dammit im gonna eat as much as i want to and not give a damn what anyone has to say about it...b/c at the end of the day ill still be the person I am, Mariah.
