and he said some shit like "well lil wayne must suck if he's at the top of the charts"

My questions is, do sales even matter?

I personally don't think they do. cause when hip hop first started sales didn't mean shit, during the whole NWA era or Public Enemy era, sales didnt mean shit.

and like that Joe Budden freestyle said, which i believe, i think 50 cent started that shit with people looking at sales more than skills.

So what do yall think upon this matter?

sales are about the average american.. the huge fanbase that cranks the radio.
us, on the other hand, listen to rap that we find on the web & shit..
so we have a plethora of choices. underground.. everything, not ONLY that shit forced down your throat on the radio over & over.

so no. in my honest opinion, charts don't matter. charts aren't a direct reflection of any type or skill or lyricism..
