Story
As a young man, he was caught selling drugs on the streets and was sent to jail to Fort Worth, Texas. While in jail, he met an inmate, who told him about the concept of the "Bone Theme". After finishing his sentence, Layzie Bone returned back to Cleveland and told Krayzie bone, Bizzy bone, and Wish Bone about the idea. The four decided to form B.O.N.E Enterprise, which eventually became Bone Thugs N Harmony.
Layzie Bone is the cousin of Wish Bone and the brother of Flesh n Bone and married to a Mo Thugs member Felecia Lindsey Howse. Sadly, his son, Angel, died due to a lung problem. He has made a reference to angel on the song, "Family Tree" from the album The Art of War in his first verse,
“I really do miss my baby baby boy, oh boy me and yo’ baby brother we keeps it real You’ll always be our lil’ nigga, and I know yo’ mama miss ya Picture the day when I get my callin’ but until then I guess i’m stuck”
Originally, Layzie Bone was "Bizzy Bone" until former member Bryon McCane got the name for always being "Bizzy" writing lyrics down.
