Six charged for encouraging fisticuffs at Texas home for disabled

MARCH 12--Six employees of a Texas home for mentally disabled adults have been charged with encouraging residents to fight each other. The "fight club" ring at the Corpus Christi State School was discovered by cops after investigators obtained cell phone videos showing the workers goading residents to brawl in common areas of dormitories at the state facility. Police have identified the six arrestees, who have been charged with felony indecency to a disabled person, as: Guadalupe Delarosa, 21; Timothy Dixon, 30; Stephanie Garza, 21; Vince Johnson, 22; Dangelo Riley, 22; and Jesse Salazar, 25. According to court complaints, copies of which you'll find on the following pages, a Samsung phone was found March 3 at a Corpus Christi clothing store and turned over to police, who discovered videos showing "mentally disabled residents engaged in physical fights that were being recorded by staff members." Some of the fights (which caused injuries to facility residents) were allegedly filmed by Dixon, who also narrated the fisticuffs. On one video, Riley can be seen "kicking at a resident during an encouraged fight," according to one complaint
