B-Real - Smoke N Mirrors (2009) Review

Smoke and Mirrors is the debut solo album of B-Real, lead rapper of Cypress Hill, slated for an early 2009 release. The album was originally supposed to be released in the summer of 2007. B-Real said that Fredwreck and will.i.am may be producing for this album, and that Cypress Hill's next release will be out sometime in Summer of 2008. Smoke and Mirrors is also going to be released on B-Real's record label, "Audio Hustlaz". it will feature guest appearances from Snoop Dogg and Damian Marley.

**This will be updated time to time when the sales start and if there are more music videos.**

1.) Children of The Night f/ Bo Roc: The song starts off pretty good until some high pitched voice starts singing and I thought it was pretty weird. That last for like 40 some seconds and then it starts gettin good again. Good beat, lyrics which makes it a good song.

2.) Gangsta Music f/ Bo Roc: This would have to be my favorite track on this album. The beat is fire.

3.) YouTube - B-Real - Don't Ya Dare Laugh: I like this song a lot but I don't like the chorus. Not because of the words, it's just the original sound of that song. I never liked it, even 2Pac Dopefine's Diner. Music video was decent and I was glad to see Xzibit was featured on this album.

4.) Everything You Want f/ Buckshot: I like this song too. The beat is decent and the chorus is nothin special.

5.) 6 Minutes f/ Young De & Tek: I thought this song was annoying. Didn't like the beat or the chorus. Chorus was wack to me.

6.) Psycho Revolution f/ Sick Jacken: There's a couple of songs of some DJ talkin in the beginning. Beat is good, reminds me of Bob Marley.

7.) Fire f/Damian Marley: Another weed song with Damian Marley. I didn't like Ganja Bus, but I like this a lot more. Pretty good song and Damian is flowin on this song, hard to understand him.

8.) 10 Steps Behind f/ Young De & Tek: Starts off with people talkin. Probably got it from some movie. I like this song also, has a good beat.

9). Get That Dough f/ Mimi: I thought this song was pretty good. The beat reminds me of 50 Cent when the song starts. (I don't like 50)

10.) Dr. Hyphenstein f/ Snoop Dogg, Young De & Trace Midas: The DJ is talkin again and then a shitty beat comes in. Snoop Dogg's verse was ok.

11.) Stack’ N Paper: I ain't too crazy about this song. Thought it was ok.

12.) 1 Life f/ Sen Dog & Mal Verde: A Spanish beat comes in and the chorus is in Spanish. I thought it was well done.

13.) Dude VS. Homie: A guitar starts out playing and that is pretty much the whole song but it's a good song in general.

14.) When They Hate You f/ Mimi: Good song. Didn't like the chorus too much.

15.) When We're Fucking f/ Too Short, Kurupt & Young De: DJ is talkin again and the chorus is pretty funny. Beat is nice and slow.

Overall, I give this album......

Notes: I thought B-Real's 1st solo album was very well done. I liked most of the songs on here, few things could of been better but I will not complain about it because it is what it is. Now only one more thing to wait for, another Cypress Hill album.

Good review but That Gangsta music has 2 be the worst song on the Album IMO & that DJ in the beginning of some songs is Julio G 4rm Westside Radio here on the West Coast. Not sure he's out now a days but he was out back in the 90's
