In 2001, rapper Blaze Ya Dead Homie returned with his sophomore album and debut LP on Psychopathic Records entitled "1 Less G N Da Hood". The album carries a dark, horrorcore atmosphere and it consists of nothing but gangsta flows throughout all 15 tracks. The beats were very eerie and some of the beats were laced by a heavy guitar, which brings a more hardcore sound to the album. The main producers here are the legendary Mike E. Clark, Mike P and Systasyrosis Soundsquad (Jamie Madrox, Monoxide Child and Fritz The Cat).
Here is the tracklisting and my rating and prospective of each individual song; 01. The Eulogy (feat. Jumpsteady) - Basically, this is just a spoken intro by Psychopathic Records rapper Jumpsteady, who gives a eulogy to Blaze after his death. It's not really worth rating, honestly. (N/A) 02. Grave Ain't No Place (feat. Anybody Killa & Monoxide Child) - The first real song on the album, and it starts with a bang. Blaze rips the first verse and the third verse with gangsta flows, telling how he was resurrected and why he kills people. Anybody Killa and Monoxide Child share the second verse, both come correct with some gangsta shit. Great opening track. (A) 03. Casket - This is the song that introduced me to Blaze. I've always considered this one of Blaze's top 10 greatest tracks to date. Blaze raps about being a zombie and killing people. The beat and chorus is bangin'. I love it. (A+) 04. Juggalo Anthem (feat. Jamie Madrox) - I wasn't feeling this much when I first heard it. The beat is pretty generic, but Blaze kills it on the verses, he raps about haters basically through his 2 verses. Jamie Madrox kills it on the third verse, although he's dissing his old House Of Krazees homie The R.O.C. The chorus gets stuck in my head everytime I hear it. Up in this bitch! (A) 05. Nasty - This is probably my least favorite track on the album, it's not bad, but it's not that great either. Blaze raps about random nasty shit, for example, how he sucks blood out of tampons and shit. The beat slaps, that bitch on the chorus is annoying, it's cool Violent J tells her to shut the fuck up at the end. It's an alright track. (C+) 06. Str8 Outta Detroit (feat. Anybody Killa & Violent J) - Not only is this the best song on the album, it's one of my favorite songs period. It's a remake of N.W.A.'s classic "Straight Outta Compton" mixed with some Psychopathic vibes. I love the aggression on this track coming from Blaze and Anybody Killa, those two motherfuckers are dope as fuck on a track together. They both kicked straight gangsta shit to it's finest. Violent J is on the last verse, his verse was more humorous than gangsta, but still a damn good verse. The chorus is just basically scratching. This beat is my favorite on the album. Mike E. Clark and Mike P are geniuses. (A+) 07. Maggot Face - At the beginning of the track, I wasn't feeling it, but when Blaze spits his verses and that mellow ass beat kicks in, it was all good. Blaze raps about what being dead is like. The chorus also is very catchy. Definitely another highlight on the album. (A) 08. Here I Am (feat. Twiztid) - An old skool sounding track right here. I'm diggin' it. The chorus is pretty simple, but I didn't expect anything huge with a stripped down track like this. Jamie Madrox spits the first verse and does his thang, he represented himself pretty good, and once again he tells about his love for Batman. Blaze spits a dope second verse, but Monoxide Child KILLS it. His verse sends chills down my spine, which is nothing new with him. Overall the track is about representing yourself. Dope shit. (A) 09. Hood Ratz (feat. Anybody Killa) - Ahh yeah. This is one of those songs where Blaze and Anybody Killa just wreck it together. They are unfuckwithable when they are on a track with each other. This is another old skool sounding track with a nice piano beat, produced by ex-Krazy Klan member Lavel. Blaze and Anybody Killa spit about fuckin' Hood Ratz and how they used to get play back in they day. Both kill it. (A+) 10. Hatchet Luv - Nice short 1 verse track representing Psychopathic Records to the fullest. Blaze kicks his gangsta flow over one of Mike P's legendary heavy guitar licks. Great song to perform live. Put yo hatchet's up! (A+) 11. Saturday Afternoon - A storytelling type track about how Blaze robs random people on every Saturday afternoon. Jamie Madrox did an excellent job on the chorus. Great beat, another one co-produced by Lavel. It has kind of a "ghetto outlaw" type feel to it. Another banger. (A) 12. Given Half The Chance (feat. Twiztid & Insane Clown Posse) - Another one of my least favorite tracks. It's not bad, it's just one of those songs that seem to drag on, and on, and on, and on, and on. It has another heavy beat with guitar by Mike P, great rapping by Blaze, Jamie Madrox, Monoxide Child, Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope. They all rap about being outcasts to society and how they were never given a chance in life. Monoxide's verse is the standout. (C+) 13. U Can't Hurt Me - Good song about how people hate Blaze and want to kill him, but they can't because he's already dead. Decent song, the beat could have been better. Jamie Madrox, once again, owned the chorus. I like the song, but it's not a favorite. (B-) 14. Thug 4 Life (feat. Anybody Killa) - Man, oh man. Blaze and Anybody Killa are deadly on the mic together. Both MCs compliment each other very well. This is an absolute monster of a track, a beast. Blaze spits his usual thugged out gangsta raps, while Anybody Killa rhymes about how hip-hop releases stress in his life. Damn good song. I love this beat. Jamie Madrox is on the chorus, but is very incoherent. (A+) 15. Hatchet Execution (feat. Anybody Killa, Insane Clown Posse, Twiztid & Cynn) - A very sentimental ending track. It's a cover of an Above The Law track. Old skool sounding beat, and it features everyone on Psychopathic Records. Shaggy 2 Dope kills his verse, so does Anybody Killa, Violent J, Blaze and Monoxide Child. However, Jamie Madrox owned this track. His verse took it home for me. It was off the hook. Zug Izland singer Cynn did a good job singing the chorus. Overall, a great ending track. Also, after this song is over, you will hear some hilarious skits taken by various members of Psychopathic Records calling Blaze while he's at home telling him different shit about how his car was impounded and his album was erased. Shit was funny. I love endings like this. (A+) Bottom line, this album is a personal classic. It is out of print, but lucky for everyone interested, I put the link up in the Midwest Rap section a couple months ago. This is the epitome of what I like in music...gangsta thugged out lyrics with horrorcore beats. Blaze Ya Dead Homie is a fucking dope rapper. Much props to Blaze for this. I give this album a 5/5. I'll be reviewing his follow up album "Colton Grundy" soon! Jumpsteady appears courtesy of Psychopathic Records. Anybody Killa is currently an unsigned artist. Monoxide Child appears courtesy of Psychopathic Records. Violent J appears courtesy of Psychopathic Records. Twiztid appears courtesy of Psychopathic Records. Insane Clown Posse appears courtesy of Psychopathic Records. Cynn is currently an unsigned artist.

I liked the review, I never really listened to BYDH.
Gotta correct you on ABK, he is signed back with Psychopathic Records. Notice the Hatchet Man on the Mudface album cover. |

Word. Thanks for the correction, jufu, I was sleepy as hell when I typed that haha.
And King, I posted the CD in the Midwest section, but apparently I gotta reupload the link because I forgot to add the 11th song.
