I am not too sure how much everyone knows how to do, so we will start with the 1st step, and so on.


1. If you are gonna use your CD's you have, Rip your albums with something like RealPlayer, what I prefer. And before you rip the album onto your computer, go to preferences in the RealPlayer tabs, and make sure that it is set on mp3 format. No one really likes it when the tracks are anything other than mp3's. And another tip is to rip it in at least 128 kbps quality or better.

Or if you prefer, just use albums we don't have here already that you downloaded off the internet from other places to upload.

2. After you have an album in a folder on your computer that you want to share/post, you're gonna need WinRAR. After you have WinRAR installed on your computer, right click on the folder that the album is in, and click "Add to archive..." Next a screen will pop open showing Archive name, (which is the same name the folder was) Archive format, Compression, etc. What you wanna do is either keep the name of the Archive name the same or you can change the name to anything you prefer. All the other stuff, just ignore it, keep the format on RAR, and the compression on normal. After that, just click OK, and the folder will be copied into 1 rar file...wait for it to finish. The rar file should appear in the same folder or place that you had the album at. Ok, let's go to the next step lol.

3. Go to a site like rapidshare or megaupload, create a free account (this is not necessary, but good to have an account you log into if you ever want to retrieve your files, etc.) I use megaupload, but you can use rapidshare if you want...more people like rapidshare better it seems. After you create your account, upload the rar file you created that I showed you how to do in the 2nd step. Wait for it to finish. It can take a while sometimes depending on the file size. After the file is finished you will get the URL link for the file. After you got the file link, copy the link, then bring it over here to post in the correct section. (East, West, Midwest, Southern, etc.) Let's go to the next step on how to post the correct way.





1. Go to the right category/section to post in. Then what you wanna do is click the "NEW THREAD" button to start a new thread. This is located on the left hand side above the other members threads. After you click "NEW THREAD" scroll down under the chat box, you should see Post New Thread, Title, and a Message box. Enter the Title, and year of album if you know the year. Not necessary, but ppl like to know the year if possible. Ok, we're gonna go away from the posting a new thread real quick by opening a new tab in your browser, but keep the new thread page open. If you have the picture for the album, movie, etc. Go to photobucket and make an account if you don't have an account already. There are other sites out there, but this is best because I have had Photobucket for like 3 years now and they never erased my pics as long as they had no nudity. After you make an account, upload your picture, then copy the [IMG] link, the 4th link you see when you put your cursor over the picture. Copy that, then go back the RapAlbums.net tab, paste the code on the top line in the message box, then hit the "ENTER" key on your keyboard like 2 times to space it out for the next part.

NOTE: If you don't have a picture of the album, etc. Please use google and at least try to search for it. Only takes a minute of your time. We like the covers and want our site to look as good as possible, not like a piece of shit where everything is just thrown around all over the place!

2. Next step is the tracklist. This is pretty important IMO! We like to know what the tracks are if possible. If you are posting a movie, don't pay attention to this part, no track list needed lol. Pictures and screenshots are all you'll probably need. Now go to a new tab in your browser again, search a few places on the web for the track list of the album and try to copy it. This can be a pain in the ass sometimes, especially when they have the buttons by the tracks to preview and play the song. Keep looking though until you find the tracklist in text only. If you can't find it, but still know the names of the tracks, do like I do sometimes and type the shit out with your keyboard and your fingers, or use step 1 of this section and post the back cover for the album. If you found the tracklist, copy it, then go back to the RapAlbums tab. Click inside the message box, you should be 2 spaces below the image you pasted in the 1st step. Now you want to hit this button here ---> above the message box, which should give you 2 of these right beside each other ---> [CODE] Take the text you copied and paste it in between the 2 [CODE] boxes. That's it on that part!

3. Next you will want to have your link ready. Open a new tab and log into your file hoster (where you uploaded your album) to get the link if not already open. Copy the link, go back to the RapAlbums tab again. Use the "ENTER" button on your keyboard again to put some space under the tracklist for where the link is going to go below it. After that you want to hit this button here ----> that is located above the message box, u should get 2 of these ----> [HIDE] boxes next to each other, just like the [CODE] boxes were that I showed you before. Now click the button above the message box again. The [CODE] boxes should be between the [HIDE] boxes. Now in between the 2 [CODE] boxes, paste your link, and that's pretty much it. Choose a "Post Icon" or not, and click "Submit New Thread" or "Preview Post" that's below the message box. If something doesn't look right, just go to your thread and use the "EDIT" button to try to fix it.

NOTE: The "Preview Post" hasn't worked for me lately, but you can try it! It seems to be working now though. Use it before you post!
