Default Calzaghe busts up Jones!

Unbeaten light heavyweight star Joe Calzaghe (46-0, 32 KOs) dealt a twelve round beating to Roy Jones, Jr. (52-5, 38 KOs) on Saturday night at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Jones dropped Calzaghe in round one with a glancing right hand and landed some clean shots in the second. But Calzaghe began to outwork Jones in the third and showed disdain for Jones' power by keeping his hands down between quick flurries.

Calzaghe continued to beat Jones to the punch and cut Roy over the left eye in round seven. Jones' corner was unable to stop the blood as Calzaghe continued to dominate until the final bell.

Scores were 118-109 on all cards.

Former two-division champ Zab Judah (37-6, 25 KOs) overcame two bad third round cuts (from unintentional headbutts) to outpoint Ernest Johnson (18-3-1, 7 KOs) over ten in a welterweight clash.

Scores were 99-91, 98-92, 98-92.

Local jr. welterweight Francisco Figueroa (20-2, 13 KOs) won a controversial eight round split decision over Emanuel Augustus (37-30-6, 20 KOs). Augustus was the aggressor, but came up short 77-75 on two cards, while prevailing on the third card by the same score.

Unbeaten WBA #3 super lightweight Dmitriy Salita (29-0-1, 16 KOs) outpointed Derrick Campos (17-6, 10 KOs) over twelve by scores of 120-108, 117-111, 115-113.

Heavyweight Dominick Guinn (30-6-1, 20 KOs) pounded out an eight round unanimous nod over Gabe Brown (18-9-4, 12 KOs).

Scores were 80-72, 80-72, 79-73.

Hot super middleweight prospect Daniel Jacobs (12-0, 11 KOs) continued his reign of terror as he scored a third round TKO over Jimmy Campbell (11-3, 2 KOs).

Time was 2:59.

Middleweight Daniel Edouard (19-2-2, 10 KOs) outpointed Alphonso Williams (10-5, 8 KOs) over eight.

Scores were 78-74, 78-74, 79-73.

Jr. middleweight Joseph Judah (4-0, 1 KO) scored a second round TKO over Richard Heath (3-10, 2 KOs).
